Synopsis

Cartman hasn’t been at school for a few days, and Stan, Kyle and Kenny find out he’s a bit messed up. Cartman wants to know who his dad is, but his mum doesn’t know, leading him to ask almost every man in South Park.

My Thoughts Back Then

I actually saw Part 2 first (the video shop had this one checked out, so I decided to watch Part 2), so watching this was more to see how Part 2 came to be. I already knew the answer (the pre-2010 answer), but I obviously wanted the origin side of things. I loved Funniest Home Videos when I was younger, so enjoyed that part of the story a lot.

My Thoughts Now

YOU DO THE DOG DANCE! On the home video-only intros, Trey and Matt are now entertainers in a retirement home, and do all sorts of things to their audience, including making an elderly man dance for his heart meds.

Cartman’s not at the bus stop, and worried Cartman is in the backyard playing with his stuffed animals... a tea party! We get to meet Clyde Frog and the tea is Earl Grey – I didn’t start drinking tea until 22, when I was at a church service and decided to join in the tea afterwards. Tea is now my favourite drink, I even have a favourite mug no-one else is allowed to drink out of, which I got for my 21st birthday in 2012.

Note all the Dad posters in Mr. Mackey's office while Stan, Kyle and Kenny are talking to him, and at Cartman’s tea party the dragon looks like Spyro (Rumper Tumpskin)

That's a LOT of food for 2 people, especially when one is 8 years old! At dinner, Cartman asks his mum an awkward question.... he wants to know who his dad is… his mum is stunned, but surely she’d be expecting the question one day…

Drunken Barn Dance - she downs a yard of ale, and baked cookies, offering them to Trainee Barbrady, younger Jimbo, amongst others. The first man she remembers being with was Chief Running Water, and the conception was quick! You don't find out that quickly Ms. Cartman…

Promo for Terrance and Phillip in: Not Without My Anus, HBC Movie of the Week, is watched by all boys sans Cartman, and Stan's grandpa, who wants to watch America's Stupidest Home Videos, hosted by Tourette's Guy I mean Bob Saget. Cartman when he sees the boys next, is dressed as an Indian, and has instant respect for their culture... how very Cartman! And a $10k prize from Bob Saget? The boys have a tape...

Chief Running Water is NOT Dad, Chief calls her (Cartman's mum) a tramp - #2 is Chef (just moved into town), he wanted to open a restaurant. Cartman, you are NOT half black! Chef scolds him immediately, and Chef sings a song to Cartman about when a man loves a woman. Meanwhile, Kenny is on a loose go kart and gets run over by a train!

12th drunken Barn Dance, first once was 1977 or 1976 then. Denver Broncos walk in, young Mr. Garrison with all his hair AND Mr. Hat, does his thing with Ms. Cartman. Back home, Bob Saget announces the Cartman Tea Party video is in the finals, and Mr. Hat drinks? What?! Jimbo calls Garrison gay, and he asks everyone, male and female who hasn't been with Ms. Cartman... Cartman is feeling crummy, Dr. Mephisto has a solution, with blood tests! $3000 should cover it, but Cartman doesn’t have the money.

Cartman is flat, and wants to tea party a bit more. Time for Bob Saget again, Cartman is PISSED! Who filmed Kenny's death? People find a death FUNNY? Yuk! Cartman is as red as a beetroot... but Stan and Kyle win $3000 for 2nd place. KILL YOU GUYS!!!!!
